Day Care Centres/Pre-School) for children from the neighboring marginalized communities:
Abraham learning Centre for 75 children at Arathi-Centre for Women’s Development in Koramangala. We provide FREE pre-school education - chilli pilli syllabus prescribed by the State Government. Children are looked after well by the teachers and helpers. Wholesome meals, milk, fruits and porridge are given daily to the children without any charges. FREE Health check-ups are done regularly and those who are underweight are given special protein mix. Regular parents’ meetings are conducted to impart awareness to mothers of these children in areas of health, nutrition and education.

Kannada Lower Primary School for children in Kadher Sheriff Garden slum (classes 1 to 5). It’s a Government aided school run by the YWCA Management. We follow the State syllabus.

Children are provided with FREE books, uniforms, sweaters, bags and shoes/socks. They are also provided with a healthy and nutritious mid day meal from Adamya Chetana. Regular FREE medical check-ups are organised and various awareness programmes on topics that affects their overall growth are being conducted. NO SCHOOL FEE is collected.

Education Sponsorship of 40 children ranging from 1st Standard to Degree/Professional course. The members of the YWCA and well wishers sponsor education of the needy children. A certain amount of their school fees is paid and they are supported to buy uniforms, shoes and books

Susamaya-A Drop in Centre for economically and socially challenged children between 8 and 14 years living in and around L.R Nagar attend this centre. Our aim is to help these children to be motivated to continue with their education. They are also provided with FREE healthy and nutritious mid day meal. Regular medical check-ups are organised at regular intervals; programmes on health and hygiene, good practices etc are conducted.

YWCA Computer School (accredited by National Institute of Open Schooling under Ministry of Education, Govt of India) for 10th standard and 2nd PUC drop out girls. Besides Computer literacy, they are also taught Spoken English and life skills.
